Dan, a pilot, was asked to fill in for a sick colleague, and one of the flight attendants that day took his fancy.
So he married her.
Sam and Dan’s wedding day was nothing short of beautiful. Styling by Piccolo and Poppi at Hunter Valley’s Bistro Molines combined wrought iron chairs and candelabras, white painted cupboards and flower arrangements, paved courtyard and vines with a breathtaking view I couldn’t get over.
As Sam was describing the day she had some humbling and flattering words; here’s what she said:
What can I say…James Day is an absolute genius!
Of all the suppliers we chose for our wedding, having James Day photograph our wedding was the ultimate jackpot. He is simply brilliant in every way. From the moment we met him in his studio at Sans Souci, we knew he was the one for the job. He is just such a lovely guy. We felt so comfortable in his presence – joking around and having a laugh while at the same time being a true professional in getting down to business by divulging his astonishing amount of knowledge and expertise in describing his style of work.
On the day of the wedding James arrived early and was very prompt throughout the day/night. He made me feel so relaxed which as the bride is so important. When he took the photos there was no camera thrown in our faces, no awkward poses or weird gestures – we could just be ourselves, laugh and joke around while he captured those moments so naturally. We loved being able to place James at a table with our guests to include him in all aspects of the night. Our guests probably didn’t even know he was the photographer and therefore he was able to capture those moments of them chatting and laughing so effortlessly without them being aware. Daniel and I have received our photographs and are completely blown away by how incredible they are.’
